Faculty Adviser: Your faculty adviser will be assigned to you after you pass FSYR 101 and declare your major. Faculty advisers are a professor in your program of study who is there to help answer questions you may have about your major, courses offered and what they entail, industry standards and how to prepare for the future, etc. This is a great point of reference for specific questions on your major. Your faculty adviser will be listed in MySCAD/Student Workspace tab/Academic Profile channel and SCAD PRO Adviser.

Professor Office Hours: Members of the faculty spend a certain number of hours per week in their office to be available to consult with students. This time is set aside for student-faculty interaction outside of the classroom. Some faculty require appointments while others allow students to drop in during scheduled office hours. Office hours should be printed on every syllabus.

Peer Tutoring/Academic Resources: Academic Resources provides free ongoing tutoring in courses most often requested by students. Students can connect with a peer tutor by going to the learning resource website on MySCAD under the resources tab/department directory.
